Hi, I am Raquel founder of Pawnda Care and Lone Wolf Casita

After my time in the Army I studied Veterinary medicine and obtained a degree in Veterinary Technology in 2012. I applied my medical training as a Veterinary Technician for four years , during that time I started ‘Pawnda Care’ by helping patients with at-home care; post-op care, administering medications and providing pet nanny services.  

I decided to leave the medical field and pursue Pawnda Care full time! It has been an amazing five years. Now there is another change in my life that has been a blessing.

I started my van life journey in June 2019, It was my chance to save myself. I was going through a really dark season battling depression. Van Life was something I dreamed about for years but felt like it was never tangible. It might have been during a manic episode but I said, I am going to do it! So there I went researching and planning day and night. After a few months, I was at the dealership buying, Murphy, and began the journey of converting it into my Casita. It’s not just my home but a home for my five pets, yep that’s not a typo.

We travel throughout Northern California up to Oregon. I split my time by taking my online graphic design courses, crafting, and exploring our new front yard for the day.
