Here's my story:

Since the last time I sent Vanlife information about my project, The Trip About Nothing, there has been a major breakthrough. I have found the adventure mobile of my dreams! I am pleased to announce that I am living in a 1988 Dodge RAM.

So, I have been living in my van in Toronto, Ontario, Canada before departing on November 9th for the United States where I will begin working on a huge personal project.

Everyone keeps asking me where I am going first and what my route is. My answer is consistently, "I have made a plan to not make a plan." I cannot wait to start my journey through the States heading towards Los Angeles.

I have attached a bunch of photos of myself and my Dodge RAM AKA "Dodge RAVE" AKA "Golden Boy"

Please read about my project and follow along with my journey:

Golden Boy, as seen on the crew neck I am wearing is the name of my photography studio. I moved out of my photo studio to fulfil this dream to live in my van and develop a massive photo essay.

I will be photographing the trip entirely with my Canon 5d Mark III and Pentax 6x7. Anyone who has shot with a Pentax 6x7 will agree that there is nothing quite like hearing that shutter release. It's a beast!

This month will be dedicated to making my van feel even more like home. I have put up a Winnipeg pennant to represent my birthplace and the other pennant says "Cantstandya" which is a Seinfeld reference, as in George Costanza - because, well, Seinfeld RULES. I also just recently had my propane lines properly tested and everything is running A.OK. My fridge is stocked full of medium format film, there is literally no room for food. This is a good thing and makes me very, VERY happy.

While my van and I were trying to act natural infront of the camera, this cute kitty snuck in to the van like it was hers. She wanders around the area I have been parking in a lot lately. I've named her Goldie.
